A Rooted Tree Growing Strong
The Molecules of Emotion

Much research has been done on the molecules of emotion by scientists such as Dr. Candace Pert and Dr. Joseph Dispensa. Discussing neurology within the brain, they explain how a Neural Net is a building up of concepts from experience and repetition. If an experience is repeated often enough, it forms a thought form.  This thought form or concept, then causes a  neural net to form. In this way our beliefs create reality.

Nerves that wire together, fire together.

If for example our mindset becomes habitually centred around illness, stress or fear, the neural nets within the brain form and then become “hard-wired” to accommodate these beliefs. These beliefs then become our reality and we never question them.

Neural Nets - Beliefs Create Reality

Read Part 1 of Beliefs Create Reality Here

Creating New Neural Nets

How can we make our very cells more responsive to absorb positive nutrients? How can we change the negative behaviours and fearful mindset that centres around illness?
Beliefs create reality.  In other words, we make this change by working from the inside out.  We change our reaction to our life and our environment.

This is the very first thing that we need to change.  Because it is only by changing our attitude towards ourselves and others that we can then alter our brain chemistry.  When we alter our brain chemistry, we create new neural nets. Neural nets which can then form around the concept of HEALTH and wellbeing.

Through concentration and focus, we can change and reverse our beliefs

We can then move away from the old negative familiar ways and towards a more self-nurturing, positive outlook.

Close up of pink flowers on tree

Do you notice how young children express their feelings immediately as they arise; they cry/tantrum/sulk as if their world is collapsing and then a few minutes later, they’re smiling through their forgotten tears. Emotions like anger, grief or fear are a normal part of the human experience but often they’re not allowed. How can we ever gain mastery over these emotions if we’re not allowed to connect to what we’re actually feeling in the first place?

True maturity lies in learning how to handle our emotions in an effective, even compassionate way and then move on with our lives, unencumbered.

Emotions are Energy in Motion. So what occurs then when this Energy in Motion is blocked, trapped and stagnated? Physically this shows up as tensions throughout the body; clenched muscles, held breath, damaged digestion and an overwrought nervous system (to mention just a few). Emotionally we manifest a whole range of false behaviours designed to disguise what we’re actually feeling by masking it with something else. Read More

Eugenie giving a talk at Healing Hub International

The HHI’s First Anniversary was a great success with inspirational speakers from varied healing modalities and a great opportunity to hear keynote speaker Tony Buzan, inventor of Mind Maps share his unique insights. Mutual sharing is so necessary among healthcare professionals and provides us all with a great opportunity to learn more about ways we can support our clients.

I gave a brief talk about healing the wounded inner child through hypnosis. The evening overall was a great success. My warmest thanks to Liz Svensson and Sinead Wyse for all their hard work and creativity in bringing Healing Hub International to fruition.

Person running down country lane

When we release feelings of anger or hatred for another, we free up an enormous amount of energy that then becomes available to invest into other areas of our life. Do you ever notice that when you’re angry or resentful towards someone, your thoughts keep returning to that person or situation, again and again, dwelling on what was said or done, or even plotting revenge? This takes a lot of energy and leaves you with little or no peace.

Self judgment always stems from our own unhealed pain. “Just for today, I will not judge – starting with myself”
